eharmony: dating & real love App Reviews

It seems the only time anyone can actually communicate with me is during free communication weekends- which is typical during holidays (and when you are too busy to actually communicate). Even though I set my March preferences- I receive matches only from people who live WAY to far and who are about 20 years older than me. Matches are like 65 years old?!? I maybe get one of two crappy matches a week. There is a "what if" feature where you can communicate with "extra" matches- but these people seem to good to be true (fake profiles?) and when I reach out I get no response and realize they havent been online in decades. I was so hopeful for this to work- but its really a waste of my time and money. Frankly, its just like all the other dating out there- BUT more expensive and more of a let down because of all the "promises". Now I am wondering what its going to be like when I cancel? Three payments if 45.00- then 19.00 per month. Not worth it people. Run.

God I hate the new app. The questions were silly but at least they prevented the stupid "online pick up lines" you had to come up with. Now its no different then the free sites out there. Now you have to come up with some lame intro conversation and using the pre selected questions seems pathetic. As soon as my membership is up will quit and use the free apps instead. This is just horrible. So much for being different. Hate this!!!! Pay a lot more for what you can do for free elsewhere. Fix something thats not broken... love the idiots in marketing..

This app is released with so many bugs that it is impossible to even log in to the updated app. Wow eHarmony! And as big as this company is, it releases an app without making sure it is working. Your developers are terrible.

Very disappointing!! New updates are terrible. All messages are now seen as archived, even current ones. Fails every time its open.

The app marks everything as archived and your matches cant read your messages.

Do you people beta test these app updates? This latest update crashes consistently. Numerous error messages as well.

Horrible site. All of the matches are in other states, you can narrow the distance preference and still have no matches in your area. What a rip off

Update is a non-user-friendly format. Not sure who the genius was behind this, but they failed. Maybe pilot-test your update next time? And put back the "last active" status.

EHarmony probably had the best process of getting to know someone amongst the dating sites. Why would you trash that for isnt messaging? Before, they ramped you forward as you got to know more about someone, and you could checkout at any point. Now its here you go, a random match, start texting. Why would you ruin what was working so well? I know you can still ask premade questions, but the gradual process is what worked so well!! Eh! Rant over.

This is just like tinder, but you have to pay for it. I want my $12 back!

I really liked in the old version that you could send multiple pre-selected questions to each potential match each step of the way during the first few times of communication. Very inconvenient to have to go through and pick questions ever single time. Also preferred only getting 1 notification when someone sent me questions as opposed to the new way getting a notification for each question they send.

Worse service ever. Money gone.

Dont create an updated version that is worse than what you already have. The latest update is poorly designed. Very hard to find the people you are communication with based on the step youre at (my turn, your turn, email) Now you have to click on each one to see which step your at since they are all labeled archived. Reverse this update back to the previous version so you can see each level of communication and whos in each level.

Im ending my subscription to eHarmony based on this garbage app alone. Ill send emails and the person doesnt get it leaving me obligated to give them my number sooner than I wanted to. Same with other people. They will send me emails and it shows up on the "activity" part but then when I click to read it- it disappears. Im better off without it. Its annoying.

I personally like the new messaging a lot more. Its easier to actually talk to someone and get to know them. And the best part is the questions are still available to use. I give it a 4 because there are still some annoying bugs in the app that really need to be resolved.

Drives me crazy that I cant answer the questions my matches sent right before the update. And the cost went up to renew. Not worth it.

The new app is garbage. eHarmony used to be very unique, and I loved the multi-step guided communication method. Now, this is just like every other dating app, only more expensive and without a search function.

EHarmony had a unique approach to communication, allowing it to be done in stages. Something that I liked. The recent change killed that process and the way they implemented this new "messaging" is awful and confusing. Apparently, they did absolutely no research into whether people wanted these changes and probably no QA whatsoever. Not renewing my membership. This is the nail in EHs coffin.

Please bring back the old was of communicating. You broke something that wasnt broken.

The new eHarmony allows for instant messaging which is extremely frustrating. I prefer the multiple questions process so that I can weed out who Id rather not talk to. I agree with others in that messages on the app used to be so simple. Now its a bit cumbersome. Additional clicks are needed just to find your last message and you can find them either on the message tab or activity tab. Not sure who thought that was a good idea. Had I known they would make these drastic changes I certainly would not have signed up for a six-month subscription just one month ago. Lesson learned and I canceled auto renewal tonight before writing this comment.
